My Experience and Background
I am fully qualified, having completed my clinical training on a BACP Accredited course at the Northern Guild, a leading institute for psychotherapy and counselling.
My therapeutic background is built on specialist experience within educational environments, charities, and dedicated trauma services:
School & Family Services: Working as a self-employed therapist providing dedicated counselling directly within schools and therapeutic networks, helping children and families navigate complex emotional, academic, and behavioural difficulties.
Specialist Trauma Training: As part of my clinical development, I completed extensive therapeutic work within a specialist rape and sexual violence centre. This foundational experience provided me with deep, trauma-informed expertise in supporting children and young people through severe trauma and abuse.
Life Story Work: A dedicated, creative process to help children make sense of their past, understand their personal history, and build a stronger, more secure sense of identity.
This background allows me to bring a high level of clinical expertise, safety, and sensitivity to my private practice.
